The existing site featured a stone barn style dwelling in a poor state of repair. It however sat on a stunning sloping site, located on the southern coast of the Llyn Peninsular in north west Wales. Following the decision to replace the building, the client supported our vision for a striking concept design, which was to blend traditional local materials with modern construction techniques, forms and aesthetics.

The result is a stunning home, which is designed to encompass the sun curve and also views of Abersoch and the sea beyond. It is also a low energy building, featuring low energy lighting, a sustainable drainage system, heat air source pump and insulation that well exceeds the building regulations requirements.

We provided the full architectural service from initial feasibility / concept stage, through planning, detail design building regulations / tender period, then site support / contract administration.
